The Editor stayed here in December 2006 and was very impressed with the standard of bedroom, cuisine, wine list and the friendly-efficiency of the staff. The Metropole commands excellent views of the three main peaks of the Jungfrau Region - Monch, Eiger and Jungfrau - and is located close to the town centre, casino, railway station and wide range of shops.
The Metropole has 95 bedrooms divided into 41 standard and 52 deluxe, all with en suite and of these, 83 have a balcony from which to enjoy the mountain scenery! In addition to the swimming pool, sauna, and solarium, there is a fitness instructor available.
The restaurant "Top of Met" allows you to enjoy your evening meal and look at the sparkling mountain peaks or you can eat in the Restaurant Bellini which offers typical Swiss dishes. Whatever your taste, the wine list is extensive and well worth "exploring".
After dinner there is the Metro Bar near the hotel foyer whilst the Metropole has its own dance club - the "Black and White". No need to panic for that last minute souvenir item before departure as the hotel Metropole has its own large and well appointed shop just off the main entrance area.
