There is an intense ski-charter flight programme from the UK to Innsbruck with more than 30 weekly charter flights from London, Manchester, Birmingham.

There are over a dozen regional airports throughout the UK with flight links used by Astraeus, Austrian, British Airways, First Choice Airways, Fly Be, GB Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines which fly on behalf of many British tour operators.

Austrian Airlines are operating three flights a week from London (Gatwick) to Kranebitten airport, Innsbruck, to serve British skiers going to the many winter resorts within a short distance of this European city.

Austrian Airline is using a 111-seater Boeing 737-600 aircraft operated by Lauda and both economy and business class seats are available on all flights. The service, new last winter and launched in December - operates on a Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and has already proved so successful that the service continued through last coming summer.

Innsbruck is the only major city in the European Alps. Twice an Olympic city, Innsbruck has established a reputation for winter sports within the Tirol region. Resorts such as Igls, Axamer-Lizum, Kuhtai, and Obergurgl are just a few ski stations within a short journey of Innsbruck. There are many other nearby resorts no more than a one-hour "transfer journey" away.
