Here is a family resort boasting 185km of slopes where you can ski from one site to the next and enjoy sporting runs in Notre Dame de Bellecombe or Praz sur Arly and for those who enjoy skiing through the forest, there is the Crest voland or Flumet. There are 52 slopes which include 23 blue; 14 red and 6 black as well as two snowparks, one of which is reserved exclusively for beginners.
Les Saisies has installed additional snow cannons linking the entire resort from Brisanne 1500m to Hauteluce and even more are planned to be installed by 2010. Satalite guidance helps to measure the depth of snow on a permanent basis and groomed depending on requirements. Surrounded by 9 summits ranging from 1600m to 2069m local weather usually ensures plenty of snow falls during the winter months.
Les Saisies L'Espace Diamant is part of a 7-villages stretching from Beaufortain to the Val d'Arly and enjoys easy access as well as providing good skiing with wide open spaces for all levels of skiers. But it has to be said that with 90 per cent of the slopes not too steep and running through forest areas this is an ideal ski resort for the whole family with breathtaking views of nearby Mont Blanc. As part of the Espace Diamant ski region there are a total of 185km of slopes and 146 slopes served by a total of 85 ski lifts throughout the 7-inter-connected villages.
